The Face Shop Snail BB Cream Product Review

I purchased this BB cream during my recent trip to Seoul and I must say that I kind of bought it out of impulse -.-" The lady at the store definitely knew how to sell! (This is a lesson for all of you out there who are planning to shop skincare stuff at Seoul.. You've been warned =p). She mentioned that the product is pretty popular (probably because of the Snail trend going around in Korea's skincare nowadays).

So here's how the box looks like:

I'm in the shade No.2 Natural Beige. This BB cream contains 40% snail secretion filtrate and has SPF 30. Some of the benefit of snail mucus that's written on the box are to protect and reduce skin irritation, resolve skin damage and provide skin-lifting effect.

The product comes in a pump (which I love!) which makes it hygienic.

BB Cream

I've been using this BB cream for almost 2 weeks now and what I like is how lightweight this BB cream is despite the dense texture. I have a very VERY oily skin and I like how this BB cream does not make my skin feel like an oil-producing landmine. It does not necessarily make my skin looking matte all day long but I guess what I like is I don't have the constant feeling that I need to blot or wash my face throughout the day. 

Another thing that I like is how my skin does not breakout from this product. I guess the claim that it is good enough for sensitive skin is true.

I also like the smell of the product. I'm not really good at describing smell (sorry!) so what I can say is it smells refreshing yet soothing at the same time. Kinda got a hint of floral and powdery smell to it. Guess it doesn't really help much huh? -.-"

As for the skin lifting effect, I cannot say much about this. I do not really see any lifting effect though it's probably because I have yet to have signs of droopy skin.

I do like the product but I do feel that the coverage can be improved. If you can see from the comparison above, you can still see my blue vein sticking out. It does sort of brightens and evens out my skin tone but I still feel the need to use concealer here and there. I also feel the need to set everything with powder to make my skin look more matte.

Overall:

What I like: Lightweight, good enough for sensitive skin, smell

What I don't like: Can't see the skin lifting effect, coverage

Would I purchase this product again? Hmm.. I don't know.. I mean I like the product don't get me wrong, but I don't love it so much that I'd cry a river if I can't get my hands on it.. I'll be trying other BB cream that I've just purchased to compare so I guess it'll goes on from there.. But for now what I can say is that it is a nice product to try =)
